The Stepfather 

In the beginning of the clip, the production and distribution companies are introduced. They are Screen gems, maverick films, imprint entertainment and Granada. the first production company gets introduced at 0.15 seconds and then again at 0.22 seconds.

In the opening sequence we get a premature idea about the story. We see that the family live in suburbs. We also witness the stepfathers change of identity after seeing the newspapers that were supposed to be delivered to the house got cancelled. In addition, we see the dead bodies all over the house. All of these techniques create a great thrilling opening.
